Speaking of routine, I'm starting to develop a reputation in class for my routinely blue-bandaged hands. In the food industry, we are required to wear bright blue band-aids. I will give you ten seconds to figure out why this would be the case.

Did you figure it out? I know, I'm kind of disturbed, too.

We wear bright blue bandaids because the color stands out from the food we are preparing (there's not a lot of bright blue food out there). So if a bandaid were to fall off (God forbid), it would not escape notice.
And apparently it does its job of being conspicuous as I have had plenty of people commenting on the fact that I always seem to be donning one of these blue beauties.
How about a visual?
Usually students find themselves wearing blue bandaids the first week or two and then it tapers off. But I guess I've been rather consistent. I swear, I'm not a total klutz with a knife, it just tends to happen when I'm in a hurry (usually deboning meat or fish). I just hope my poor battered hands make it through the rest of the year. At least I will have plenty of battle scars to show off in the end.
oo,
I think you just like band-aids....
