BEFORE/AFTER: Flowers

A couple weeks ago Patrick brought home some flowers for me, and I am happy to report that they still look almost as vibrant today as they did the day he brought them home.  This is a miracle considering that I tend to kill (inadvertently) any plants that are taken under my care.  I can't help but wonder if it's the fighting spirit of the flowers themselves or the amazing botanical genius of the caretaker that has led to this elongated vase life (and by "botanical genius," I mean keeping the vase filled with water everyday).

Since you know I love taking pictures of flowers, here is a before and after comparison...

AFTER:

As you can see, the color has faded a little, probably due to sunlight exposure (I just read online that you shouldn't put cut flowers in the sun or they will fade, and since they are already dying, they no longer need the sunlight... oops), but they haven't wilted or turned brown yet.  As I mentioned before, maybe this type of flower just has a fighting spirit (anyone know what kind of flowers these are?).

OR maybe it means I am finally ready to move on from taking care of a plant to taking care of an animal... iguana?

  4. What? Husbands buy flowers? THat's crazy.

I buy myself flowers. The store by us as them on clearance all the time. One time G made me mad though. They had this HUGE HUGE HUGE bunch for 1.99. He said, "no. Here, get these." and he handed me a 99 cent one. STUPID BOY.

Whatev, I buy my own now.

Oh, and are they FLOWERS that were cut or a plant? Cuz thats crazy if they're still looking good and they were cut.

I hope that you bought the $1.99 flowers instead of the $.99 ones!
